Applying Concepts of Sustainability in Warehousing Industry

August 04, 2021 0
Applying Concepts of Sustainability in Warehousing Industry

Sustainability is one of the latest industrial buzzwords. The idea of sustainability has been deeply engrained in the business world and in minds of peoples due to which tactics of business is been changed worldwide, from the fashion industry to the healthcare industry and now even the logistics industry. Sustainability in reference of supply chain logistics can be termed as an optimization of logistics network by improving environmental impact and reducing business risks. Also, it is considered as the backbone of the economy. The industry is now into end to end solutions to the clients rather than just service provider. The warehouse is an essential component for sustainable supply chains and logistics to be efficient. 13 17 of India’s Gross Domestic Product GDP accounts for logistics cost which is double compared to developed countries U.S., France and Hong Kong logistics cost i.e. 6 9 to GDP ratio. Additionally, COVID 19 and the resultant lockdowns have accelerated the transition of retail to online and adoption of e commerce globally. With more sustained behavioural shifts and increasing confidence in the e commerce story, there will be a definite need for warehousing to cater to the back end of this transition. Currently, the function identified for warehouse logistics is changed from just a mere storage of raw materials and finished goods irrespective of the industry serving. The main aim here is to identify indirect parameters among environment, economic, social and technology affecting warehouse sustainability and comparison by implementing better techniques, technologies, materials etc. to improve the effectiveness.

The aggression of the female inmates as a whole was moderately aggressive. The results of the study show no significant relationships among age, marital status, educational attainment, economic status, and religion, and aggression of the female inmates. Further, regarding the significant differences between the aggression of the experimental group and the control group, the test results indicated that there is no significant difference in the aggression between the experimental group and the control group before the intervention. An Empirical Study of Human Capital Management on Organizational Effectiveness

An Empirical Study of Human Capital Management on Organizational Effectiveness

In terms of philosophy and strategy, the concepts of human capital and strategic human resource management are extremely distinct in todays organizations. Human Capital is an important aspect of maximizing an organizations assets because it provides a long term competitive advantage and increases staff productivity. These individuals should have enough experience, data, creativity, and power to increase client satisfaction and create a competitive edge for the organization. As a result of a magnified economic process and market saturation as a result of the recent recession in various economies around the world, human capital is attracting increased attention. Human capital development is given greater priority in both developed and developing countries in order to speed up the economic process by allocating the necessary time and resources. The findings of the study endorse a strategy of investing in and dominating human resources in order to achieve a competitive edge at the organizational and national levels. To achieve a competitive advantage over rivals, companies have systematically put a high priority on human resources by introducing mandatory interventions such as fostering a data sharing culture, recruiting highly qualified workers, and developing new creative ideas.
