Tele Health The Improvement Process of Healthcare among Elderly during the COVID 19 Pandemic

August 11, 2021 0
Tele Health The Improvement Process of Healthcare among Elderly during the COVID 19 Pandemic

In the current COVID 19 pandemic, where social distance is the norm and hospitals have turned into infection hotspots, its vital for health care providers to figure out how to provide care to the elderly while limiting their exposure to healthcare environments. In light of the ongoing pandemic, it has been suggested that older people be replaced by virtual visits and told to attend to the doctor right away. Telehealth based therapies have emerged as viable options for overcoming these geriatric care delivery roadblocks. Even in the most remote regions, technological developments have solved the challenge of telehealth access. Teleconsultation is becoming a realistic option for the elderly and health care practitioners in this age of information technology. Despite the fact that the difficulties we face are complex and hence cannot be addressed with a single, all encompassing solution, telemedicine and tele health based interventions appear to hold promise in complementing our efforts in this area. In terms of providing quality treatment without having to relocate, telehealth is useful for both the elderly and healthcare providers.

A Proposed Fuzzy Inventory Management Policy

April 15, 2021 0
A Proposed Fuzzy Inventory Management Policy

Managing inventory under inaccurate or incomplete data considers a complex process to find the optimal policy to reduce total inventory costs. Hence, we resort in this paper to the use of the fuzzy technique to treat this deficiency in the data. This study considers important because it is hoped that on the completion, the study will extend further insights into the conception of stock control measures. Through using automotive service center as a reference point, the study will make an interesting contribution to the understanding of the general and special effects of stock control in other private and public utilities. In this paper, it will be proposed a mathematical model for optimal fuzzy inventory policy to minimize the total inventory cost by using the fuzzy assignment technique and will be applied it on a case study.

A Multi Sectoral Assessment of the Impacts of Covid 19 Pandemic Outbreak on Organisational Functionality in Nigeria

This paper examined the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the functionality of organizations in Nigeria. The study is qualitative and adopted a phenomenology design, with primary data collection instrument consisting of interviews and observations. 15 participants were adopted from five organizations each selected purposively from five notable sectors in the country. Analysis was issued based and focused on the use of a priori themes such as provided by the research questions of the study. Findings revealed that one of the differentiating impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic on organizations was based on their forms of operation and the level to which their services or functions were digitized or virtual. While some organizations have only been able to operate minimally, others have shifted their focus to their online platforms. This paper concludes by affirming that while most crisis events have adverse effects and damage to the organization, the approach and strategic response of organization is a key factor in determining the level of their loss, and their capacity for resilience and stability in such crisis. The paper further recommends that 1 organisations should increase the digitalization of their activities and works especially in this period of the Covid 19 pandemic 2 Organizations should focus on building robust and yet flexible operational processes not fixated by location or region given the dynamic nature of the business environment.

The Impact of ERP on Business Organization in Mongolia
Mongolian business sector can be said blooming. And its market has been expanding more. As the market expands, competition between companies is increasing. Numerous organizations are starting using ERP system and proving its efficiency to the companies. As IT once become a trend in the business environment, every organization tends to try and set up for its sake. If the global ERP vendors notice the chances and come into Mongolian every business sector, both parties could gain massive efficiency. But not only targeting big companies, if they could offer an IT system with reasonable prices to small business areas, but it would also help them to grow up and support the nation's economic situation. To prove how the ERP change and bring its efficiency to the organization, we made a project to set up ERP in a small company.

Effect of Capacity Building on Productivity Alcoholic Beverage Companies

April 12, 2019 0
Effect of Capacity Building on Productivity Alcoholic Beverage Companies

The fast moving pace of business in Nigeria seems to have caught up with the alcoholic beverage sector of the country presumed before now to be controlled by two players. However, with the supply side of value adding employees drying up as our universities are being accused of churning out poorly developed graduates, the demand side may have prompted stiff jostling or even poaching for the few managerial talents available. As a result, looking inwards through capacity building may present a viable way out of the doldrums for all concerned. To address the foregoing challenges, the study therefore examined the effect of capacity building on productivity using the two leading players in the alcoholic beverage manufacturing sector Nigeria Breweries Plc., Lagos and Guinness Nigeria Plc as case study. In line with extant literature capacity building which constituted the independent variable in the study was operationalized in terms of on the job training, off the job training, technological knowledge acquisition and organisational mentorship as its components. Survey design, systematic and stratified sampling techniques were employed to draw a sample of three hundred and sixty 360 respondents comprising 212 58.9 males and 148 41.1 females who participated in the study. Data was collected using validated scales designed for the purpose of this study. Five 5 hypotheses were formulated and tested using simple and multiple regression analysis namely that there is no significant effectss of on the job training, off the job training, technological knowledge acquisition and organisational mentorship on productivity and that there is no significant effect of capacity building on productivity. The results showed that the four dimensions of the independent variable i.e. on the job training, off the job training, technological knowledge acquisition and organisational mentorship effected significantly on productivity in the study population. Furthermore, the multiple regression analysis conducted confirmed these results as capacity building was also found to have effected significantly on productivity. These findings support the notion that enabling employees with the right blend of skills, knowledge, expertise and experience would be in the firms best productive interests. The study therefore recommended that as the proverbial geese that lay the golden egg, employees should be exposed to on the job training, off the job training, technological knowledge and organisational mentorship.

Determinants of Business Performance in the Nigerian Manufacturing Sector

March 26, 2019 0
Determinants of Business Performance in the Nigerian Manufacturing Sector

This study examines the determinants of business performance in the Nigerias manufacturing sector. The study was necessitated by the perceived declining performance of the Nigeria manufacturing sector. Secondary data covering the period 1980 2018 were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria. The models estimates were estimated via multiple econometric model of the ordinary least square to ascertain the effect of macroeconomic variable Financial intermediation, Infrastructure, Market size, Exchange rate, Interest rate and Inflation rate on the business performance in the Nigerias manufacturing sector. From the result of the OLS, it was observed that financial intermediation, infrastructure and market size have a positive impact on manufacturing sector while exchange rate, interest rate and inflation rate have a negative impact on manufacturing sector in Nigeria. From the regression analysis, the results also show that all the variables conform to the a priori expectation of the study. With the exception of infrastructure and inflation rate, all other variables are statically significant which indicates that financial intermediation, market size, exchange rate, interest rate are good determinants of business performance in the Nigerian manufacturing sector. The study recommends that the energy sector needs to be overhauled especially the EEDC to supply just the sufficient energy to drive the economy. Painstaking and well coordinated macro economic policies with special references to the price level and exchange rate regime need to be put in place to ameliorate the business sector among others.

Information Technology and Indian Agriculture
Development of technology has opened new opportunities and dimensions for the agriculture sector in India. This technological advancement has enabled the country to shift from a period of traditional subsistence farming to an era of hi-tech commercial farming. India today makes use of technology at every stage of agriculture right from production and processing till marketing. In spite of this, there still remain challenges in its complete adoption by small and marginal farmers which if suitably addressed could lead to the rapid growth of the primary sector in the future years.
