An Overview of Parking Slot Detection Techniques
The aim of this study is to design and implement an automatic parking system to increase parking usability and safety and to collect parking fees for vehicles without having to use a magnetic card. A clever car park system can work with fewer human connections and does not need a magnetic card. There is also a parking assistance system that can advise and guide the user to the correct car park. In order to detect the number plates for the parking and payment system, the system used image processing. In general, the systems use pre programmed controls to ensure that at least one person is involved in the parking system and control access to restricted areas.

Advanced Virtual Assistant Based on Speech Processing Oriented Technology on Edge Concept S.P.O.T

Advanced Virtual Assistant Based on Speech Processing Oriented Technology on Edge Concept S.P.O.T

With the advancement of technology, the need for a virtual assistant is increasing tremendously. The development of virtual assistants is booming on all platforms. Cortana, Siri are some of the best examples for virtual assistants. We focus on improving the efficiency of virtual assistant by reducing the response time for a particular action. The primary development criterion of any virtual assistant is by developing a simple U.I. for assistant in all platforms and core functioning in the backend so that it could perform well in multi plat formed or cross plat formed manner by applying the backend code for all the platforms. We try a different research approach in this paper. That is, we give computation and processing power to edge devices itself. So that it could perform well by doing actions in a short period, think about the normal working of a typical virtual assistant. That is taking command from the user, transfer that command to the backend server, analyze it on the server, transfer back the action or result to the end user and finally get a response if we could do all this thing in a single machine itself, the response time will get reduced to a considerable amount. In this paper, we will develop a new algorithm by keeping a local database for speech recognition and creating various helpful functions to do particular action on the end device. Vehicle Accident System Using GPS Tracker and Airbag ECU

May 23, 2019 0
Vehicle Accident System Using GPS Tracker and Airbag ECU

An airbag is a vehicle occupant restraint system RS a bag designed to inflate extremely quick then quickly deflate during a collision. The concept of the airbag is a soft pillow to land against in a major crash. The first patent on an inflatable crash landing device for airplanes was filed during World War II. In 1980s, the first commercial airbags was appeared in automobiles. An adoption of airbags came during the late 1980s and early 1990s .In car a driver airbag, and a front passenger airbag is there and many modern vehicles now include six or more units Air bag is made of a thin, nylon fabric, which is folded and inside into steering wheel or dashboard or, more recently, the seat or door. Inside the car a sensor is the device that tells the bag to inflate it happens when there is a collision force equal to running into a brick wall at 10 to 15 miles per hour 16 to 24 km per hour . GPS stands for Global Positioning System. GPS is a satellite navigation system used to determine the ground position of an object for eg. land etc. GPS technology was first used by the US military .In 1960s expanded into civilian use over the next few decades. Today, GPS receivers are included in many commercial products, such as automobiles, smartphones, exercise watches, and GIS devices etc. In GPS system it includes 24 satellites which is deployed in space about 12,000 miles 19,300 kilometers above the earths surface. The orbit of earth once every 12 hours at an extremely fast pace of roughly 7,000 miles per hour 11,200 kilometers per hour . A GPS satellite broadcasts a message which include the satellites current position, orbit, and exact time. Each GPS receiver combines the broadcasts from various multiple satellites to calculate its exact position using a process called triangulation. Three satellites are required in order to determine a receivers location, though a connection to four satellites is ideal since it provides greater accuracy. Working of GPS, it should establish a connection to the required number of satellites. For example, cars GPS unit is typically faster than the receiver in a watch or smartphone. Introduction The vehicle's crash sensors provide crucial information to the airbag electronic controller unit ECU which gives signals to car maker server. Server sends message to 1. Nearest hospital of accident location. 2. Nearest Police station of accident location. 3. Family member. Location will be track by GPS Global Position System using GPS API. Top causes of car accidents Car accident can lead a several unwanted permanent injuries, consequences, loss of earnings, etc.

Data Imputation Methods and Technologies by Ritesh Kumar Pandey | Dr Asha Ambhaikar

Data Imputation Methods and Technologies by Ritesh Kumar Pandey | Dr Asha Ambhaikar
We introduce a class of linear quantile regression estimators for panel data. Our framework contains dynamic auto regressive models, models with general predetermined regressors, and models with multiple individual e?ects as special cases. We follow a correlated random-e?ects approach, and rely on additional layers of quantile regressions as a flexible tool to model conditional distributions. Conditions are given under which the model is nonparametrically identified in static or Markovian dynamic models. We develop a sequential method-of-moment approach for estimation, and compute the estimator using an iterative algorithm that exploits the computational simplicity of ordinary quantile regression in each iteration step.

Finally, a Monte-Carlo exercise and an application to measure the e?ect of smoking during pregnancy on children's birth weights complete the paper. K-means and K-medoids clustering algorithms are widely used for many practical applications. Original k-mean and k-medoids algorithms select initial centroids and medoids randomly that affect the quality of the resulting clusters and sometimes it generates unstable and empty clusters which are meaningless. The original k-means and k-mediods algorithm is computationally expensive and requires time proportional to the product of the number of data items, number of clusters and the number of iterations.

The new approach for the k mean algorithm eliminates the deficiency of exiting k mean. It first calculates the initial centroids k as per requirements of users and then gives better, effective and stable cluster. It also takes less execution time because it eliminates unnecessary distance computation by using previous iteration. The new approach for k- medoids selects initial k medoids systematically based on initial centroids. It generates stable clusters to improve accuracy.

Data Imputation by Soft Computing by Ritesh Kumar Pandey | Dr Asha Ambhaikar
Data imputing uses to posit missing data values, as missing data have a negative effect on the computation validity of models. This study develops a genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize imputing for missing cost data of fans used in road tunnels by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). GA uses to impute the missing cost data using an optimized valid data period.

The results show highly correlated data (R- squared 0.99) after imputing the missing data. Therefore, GA provides a wide search space to optimize imputing and create complete data. The complete data can be used for forecasting and life cycle cost analysis.

Cede Blood-Life Saver System

As we know that blood is a saver of all existing lives. There is an expectation that the blood will always be there when it is really needed. Emergency situations, such as accidents, create an immediate and critical need for special blood types. In addition, advances in medicine have also increased the need of blood for various treatments and surgeries.

In short, blood is a saver of all existing lives. So in such emergency cases, it is difficult for hospital staff to collect blood in case of shortage of blood without having appropriate resources. Our system solves this problem. This project is developed by three perspective i.e. hospital, blood bank and patient/donor. This project is to build a web-based online blood donation system, named Life Saver System.

This system provides an online platform for a quick access to the required donor. Android application is proposed to search the donors who are available nearby during the emergency cases. In this application we are using the GPS technology that will be used for tracing the donors.

Real-Time Data Representation Control in Convolution Neural Networks Based Indoor Wi-Fi Localization for Internet of Things

October 29, 2016 0
Real-Time Data Representation Control in Convolution Neural Networks Based Indoor Wi-Fi Localization for Internet of Things
The prediction of simultaneous limb motions is a highly desirable feature for the control of artificial limbs. In this work, we investigate different classification strategies for individual and simultaneous movements based on pattern recognition of myoelectric signals. Our results suggest that any classifier can be potentially employed in the prediction of simultaneous movements if arranged in a distributed topology. Compressive sensing has been successfully used for optimized operations in wireless sensor networks. However, raw data collected by sensors may be neither originally sparse nor easily transformed into a sparse data representation.

This work addresses the problem of transforming source data collected by sensor nodes into a sparse representation with a few nonzero elements. Our contributions that address three major issues include: 1) an effective method that extracts population sparsity of the data, 2) a sparsity ratio guarantee scheme, and 3) a customized learning algorithm of the sparsifying dictionary. We introduce an unsupervised neural network to extract an intrinsic sparse coding of the data. As the underlying semiconductor technologies are getting less and less reliable, the probability that some components of computing devices fail also increases, preventing designers from realizing the full potential benefits of on-chip exascale integration derived from near atomic scale feature dimensions. As the quest for performance confronts permanent and transient faults, device variation, and thermal issues, major breakthroughs in computing efficiency are expected to benefit from unconventional and new models of computation, such as brain inspired computing. The challenge is then high-performance and energy-efficient, but also fault-tolerant computing solutions.

Video Crime Monitoring

Video Crime Monitoring
A CCTV system is not a physical barrier. It does not limit access to certain areas, make an object harder to steal, or a person more difficult to assault and rob. This does not mean it is not an example of situational crime prevention. It is highly situational, and as will be shown, does have some crime prevention capacity in the right situations. Although CCTV has many functions, the primary preventative utility is to trigger a perceptual mechanism in a potential offender. It seeks to change offender perception so the offender believes if he commits a crime, he will be caught. In other words, CCTV aims to increase the perceived risk of capture, a factor which, assuming the offender is behaving in a rational (or limited rational) manner, will de-motivate the potential offender. For this crime prevention process to succeed. So we developed this prototype which shows improved results in terms of crime reporting by the public using mobile devices and improved management of reports due to automation of crime reporting and monitoring.
