Sustainable Cities
By nature, humans are social creatures and thrive in urban spaces that foster social connections. Cities are essential to sustainable development since they are the center of economic development. They interact extensively with surrounding and with the rest of the world. The sustainable city concept focuses on improving the conditions of the urban areas in order to create healthy, pleasant, livable, inclusive, safe, and resilient cities where residents want to live and work. This chapter provides an introduction on sustainable cities.

Techno Economic Analysis of HVDC Links for Inter State Interconnection

The design of an interregional high voltage transmission system in the US is a revolutionary technological concept that will likely play a significant role in the planning and operation of future electric power systems. This paper presents techno economics analysis of HVDC link for interstate inter connected system. there are two type transmission system used for large power supply to long distance transmission 1 HVDC high voltage dc transmission system 2 HVAC high voltage ac transmission system in which HVDC is preferable due less power loss in transmissions but it need high installing charge at the starting moment. It need two type of installation block 1 rectifier block at the sending end 2 inverter block at receiving end these both block deal with high reactive VAR. In this paper we are going to analyze technology of HVDC installation, there control, how HVDC link deal with reactive VAR reactive power compensation , how its economical if it need high installing charge .In this paper we are using 2500 MVA, 230 volt, 60 grid after rectifying power transmitted to 100 km by 100 km cable then it invert at receiving end for distribution. Here we are calculating reactive power demand for both inverter and converter both, we comparing HVDC transmutation system with HVAC transmission system economically we also coverings the environmental advantages for HVDC system. My focus in this paper is, how to minimize installing charge of HVDC link, how to increase power carrying capacity of HVDC system and how to make it environment friendly.

ESGP PA Scholars in the University of Eastern Philippines Their Academic Performance, Challenges, and Perceived Solutions

The ESGP PA scholars in the University of Eastern Philippines, in spite of the financial grant, have their fair share of challenges at home, in school, and with the scholarship management. This descriptive qualitative study delved into documenting the scholars’ academic performance, discovering a myriad of their challenges, unlocking in them their perceived solutions, and mapped out recommendations designed to help the ESGP PA Scholarship Management for the academic advancement of the scholars. Results revealed that the scholars are fairly performing their academics but are affronted of school related challenges ranging from hectic class schedule and time limitations in requirement submissions to pressures in maintaining their grades given their non regular school attendance. For school management related, they get to experience delays of the financial grant, and long queues for scholarship renewal and other submissions. At home, they are torn between their school and family priorities. This is aside from experiences of low familial support to their education and financial obligation, where the bulk of their allowance goes to aid their family needs and as capital build up for the livelihood ventures of their parents. In the light of these circumstances, the scholars thought of perceived solutions, which to them are the be all answers.

History of Collection and Recording of Samples of Uzbek Music Folklore
The issues raised in Uzbek music treatises are close to modern elementary music theory. But they also have issues related to the practical aspects of the East peoples' music in the past, which is not the case in modern music theory. Medieval scholars have increasingly defended maqam music in solving problems of music theory. In doing so, they analyzed in the example of the sound section tones, halftones, and quarter tones in maqam.

Study of the Prevalence of Dentoalveolar Anomalies in Children with Torticollis WRYNECK
Torticollis wryneck is one of the most common abnormalities, ranking third among congenital abnormalities. Not recognized and untreated in time torticollis leads to the occurrence of various deformities of the dentition. The result of examination of 457 children aged 3 to 14 years and older showed that the frequency of dentoalveolar anomalies is aggravated depending on the severity of the underlying disease. Therefore, timely detection of torticollis and dentoalveolar anomalies in this contingent of children and providing them with the necessary preventive care helps to reduce the number of dentoalveolar anomalies and shorten the rehabilitation period.

A Proactive Maintenance by Using Micro Surfacing for Pavement

October 25, 2021 0
A Proactive Maintenance by Using Micro Surfacing for Pavement
The method of mix design for microsurfacing as described by ASTM and ISSA, clearly stated that the methods for mix design should be used only as a guide. Therefore, a more exact method is needed to provide successful mix designs, based on performance related tests included in the design method rather than relying heavily on the experience of the construction crew with these types of treatments. The two method ‘Laboratory method of mixing and curing microsurfacing mixtures TxDOT, 2004 ' and “A Laboratory Investigation on Bitumen Emulsion Mixes” Tipnis and Pandey, 2001 have been tried in the laboratory but there were some limitations to these methods as balling could not stop completely unless a very careful mixing of the mix is taken care off. Therefore, a different mixing methodology of mixing coarse and fine aggregates with emulsion is explored and is explained. where it is found that forming of a ball during the mixing of aggregates with emulsion appeared to have been solved, and no balling was formed.

Analysis of a High Rise Structure Using E Tabs Software
Now a days, the architects often prohibit the widths of the columns so that more free space is available and for the good aesthetic look of the building without columns protruding out of the walls and corners. Advances in structural members and techniques to resist lateral forces are generally used now days to pretend more stable and safe structure. Solid structures with non rectangular uncommonly formed flimsy segments discovered as an option in contrast to the above said issue and it is discovered that non rectangular uniquely molded dainty segments performs well basically with all investigation results inside satisfactory cutoff points. In present work with the end goal to contrast fortified solid structure using traditional columns against structure designed with special shaped columns considering seismic loads on G 12 multi story building having plan measurement 63.20 m x 29.50 m is displayed and dissected in ETABS 2018 adaptation coordinated building outline programming. Proportionate static investigation and dynamic reaction range examination are performed on the structure.
