History of Collection and Recording of Samples of Uzbek Music Folklore

October 28, 2021 0
History of Collection and Recording of Samples of Uzbek Music Folklore
The issues raised in Uzbek music treatises are close to modern elementary music theory. But they also have issues related to the practical aspects of the East peoples' music in the past, which is not the case in modern music theory. Medieval scholars have increasingly defended maqam music in solving problems of music theory. In doing so, they analyzed in the example of the sound section tones, halftones, and quarter tones in maqam.

Study of the Prevalence of Dentoalveolar Anomalies in Children with Torticollis WRYNECK
Torticollis wryneck is one of the most common abnormalities, ranking third among congenital abnormalities. Not recognized and untreated in time torticollis leads to the occurrence of various deformities of the dentition. The result of examination of 457 children aged 3 to 14 years and older showed that the frequency of dentoalveolar anomalies is aggravated depending on the severity of the underlying disease. Therefore, timely detection of torticollis and dentoalveolar anomalies in this contingent of children and providing them with the necessary preventive care helps to reduce the number of dentoalveolar anomalies and shorten the rehabilitation period.

A Two Stage Estimator of Instrumental Variable Quantile Regression for Panel Data with Time Invariant Effects
This paper proposes a two stage instrumental variable quantile regression 2S IVQR estimation to estimate the time invariant effects in panel data model. In the first stage, we introduce the dummy variables to represent the time invariant effects, and use quantile regression to estimate effects of individual covariates. The advantage of the first stage is that it can reduce calculations and the number of estimation parameters. Then in the second stage, we adapt instrument variables approach and 2SLS method. In addition, we present a proof of 2S IVQR estimators large sample properties. Monte Carlo simulation study shows that with increasing sample size, the Bias and RMSE of our estimator are decreased. Besides, our estimator has lower Bias and RMSE than those of the other two estimators.

The Risk Lies in Not Knowing HIV AIDS Awareness and Acceptance towards PLWHA

October 19, 2021 0
The Risk Lies in Not Knowing HIV AIDS Awareness and Acceptance towards PLWHA
Human Immunodeficiency Virus HIV is a disease that targets and changes the human immune system, increasing the risk and impact of other infections and diseases. Without treatment, this virus progresses to an advanced disease called Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome AIDS . Ignorance of HIV AIDS can lead to the stigmatization of PLWHA. This prevents PLWHA from contributing to society meaningfully and damages their social and psychological health. This study sought to determine the level of awareness towards HIV AIDS and the level of acceptance towards PLWHA among senior high school SHS students in the 9th cluster of Toledo City, Cebu. It further sought to determine whether or not a correlation exists between the students' awareness and acceptance towards PLWHA. To arrive at these, this study utilized questions adopted from Carey, Beedy and Johnson 1997 , and Unnikrishnan, Mithra and Reshmi 2010 for HIV AIDS awareness and HIV AIDS Acceptance, respectively with slight modifications in the wording for the students' comfort. The respondents of this study were 336 SHS students, selected via stratified random sampling from an overall population of 2,094 SHS students. The study found that the respondents exhibited a high level of awareness about HIV AIDS, as well as a high level of acceptance towards PLWHA. Further, it was found that there is a statistically significant correlation between gender and awareness of HIV AIDS. It was also found that there is a statistically significant correlation between gender and attitude towards PLWHA. This study arrived at the conclusion that there is a statistically significant and strong correlation between the respondents' awareness and attitude towards PLWHA.

Analytical Study to Understand the Role of Homoeopathic Medicines in Patients Suffering from the Complaint of Back Pain
Pain in back is a very commonly occurring complaint especially in adults. It is a condition in which there is muscular pain, with involvement of joints in the spine and nervous system. The most common classification adopted for back ache is acute and chronic back pain. The acute form can arise from an exciting cause like lifting heavy weight and usually gets relived by rest and some pain medication, however the chronic form arises from multiple causes or a single cause affecting over a long period of time, it can be progressive and gets worse as time passes. If dealt with correct line of treatment most of the back pain complaints gets resolved however, in some of the conditions there can be involvement of spinal cord and the nerves which can cause more severe complications. In this study analysis is done to study how there can be reduction in duration, intensity and frequency of back pain with use of homoeopathic medicines in shortest possible time in a very gentle manner and with minimal cost to the patients.

Biophysical Foundations of Production and Consumption of Human Economy Sources and Sink Functions of the Ecosystem

October 12, 2021 0
Biophysical Foundations of Production and Consumption of Human Economy Sources and Sink Functions of the Ecosystem
Three major problems associated with our management of the world's ecosystems are already causing significant harm to some people, particularly the poor, and unless addressed will substantially diminish the long term benefits we obtain from ecosystems First, approximately 60 15 out of 24 of the ecosystem services examined during the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment are being degraded or used unsustainably, including fresh water, capture fisheries, air and water purification, and the regulation of regional and local climate, natural hazards, and pests. The full costs of the loss and degradation of these ecosystem services are difficult to measure, but the available evidence demonstrates that they are substantial and growing. Many ecosystem services have been degraded as a consequence of actions taken to increase the supply of other services, such as food. These trade offs often shift the costs of degradation from one group of people to another or defer costs to future generations. Second, there is established but incomplete evidence that changes being made in ecosystems are increasing the likelihood of nonlinear changes in ecosystems including accelerating, abrupt, and potentially irreversible changes that have important consequences for human well being.

A Case of Multiple Cranial Nerves Palsy Post Electrocution

A Case of Multiple Cranial Nerves Palsy Post Electrocution
Multiple cranial neuropathies are uncommon but not rare. Localization also depends on the etiology. Electrocution can cause neuropraxia, axonal damage, and necrosis of soft tissue and bones. We are presenting a rare case of post electrocution injury secondary infection of the head leading to the right side all cranial nerves palsy. Our patient suffered an electrocution injury. Post electrocution injury, he developed right sided multiple cranial nerve palsy. CT head was suggestive of skull base osteomyelitis. MRI brain images showed the right cavernous sinus involvement, soft tissue enhancement at the eight sphenoid sinus, right mastoiditis, soft tissue enhancement in the right infra temporal fossa and sphenoid wings. Escherashia Coli and Candida were isolated from purulent ear discharge. This could be secondary infection. This is a very rare case where a patient developed all right sided Lower Motor Neuron type cranial nerve palsies due to infection following electrocution. However, other etiology cannot be ruled out.

A Review Thrombocytopenia

October 11, 2021 0
A Review Thrombocytopenia
Thrombocytopenia is defined as a platelet count that falls below its normal range. The normal value of platelets for an adult is 150000 to 450000 microliter. A platelet count of more than 450000 microliter is called thrombocytosis and a platelet count of less than 150000 microliter is called thrombocytopenia. Various types of thrombocytopenia occur based on theircause such as immune thrombocytopenic purpura, heparin induced thrombocytopenia, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, immune thrombocytopenia, and drug induced thrombocytopenia. Various causes of thrombocytopenia are due to some of the drugs, diseases and disorders, chemical exposures, microorganisms, and some rare conditions that cause blood clots. The underlying pathophysiology of thrombocytopenia is decreased platelet production, increased platelet destruction, and platelets redistribution. The effective diagnosis and treatment may help the patient improve in their quality of life and help to achieve an optimal therapeutic outcome. The scope of this review is to describe thrombocytopenia, types, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, pharmacological treatment, non pharmacological treatment, and its prevention.
