Planning and Techniques Process and Methods for Survey and Research in Relation to Climatic Impact of Natural Element on Human

Believe that climate has a pronounced impact on human psychology and temperament. The four days of modern sociology and evaluation suggested that proper climatic conditions were the main requirement it and main stimulus for the development of civilization. In recent years, human has struggled to become independent it off climate Western human has established permanent research statics in Antarctica and Greenland and has built cities on the equator. Through the use of this technology, he has separated the climate within buildings from that outside even factories are air conditioned. Planning and techniques process and methods for survey and research in in relation to climatic impact of natural element on human and calling system, add lite and a habitable building anywhere. Primitive human left according to Sun. Has fuel was wood, the product of photosynthesis in this on time. His food he gathered himself during daylight, is ford was the product daylight. Is shelter in whatever Design resided was belt to use the desired natural elements and sailed out the excess. He lived in balance and with the natural processes and elements. The consideration man may best use the natural processes and element in in housing and insight design. To the extent that the natural elements considered in modern landscape architecture by contrast, positive approach to natural processes elements and factors are able to how natural processes elements and factors are to be utilized and emphasized to a greater extent by site planning and site design and manipulation of site element. The decision is made the greater will be that saving in energy and greater the possibility of utilization of natural energy sources such as solar radiation for natural heating and utilization of natural wind flow patterns for less energy expensive cooling and heating.

Local Governance and Sustainability in Municipal Waste Management in the Mfoundi Division, Yaounde Cameroon

February 15, 2021 0
Local Governance and Sustainability in Municipal Waste Management in the Mfoundi Division, Yaounde Cameroon

Increasingly, sustainable waste management has emerged as a major concern both in terms of environmental protection and sustainable management of urban spaces. Over the years, it has been observed that, the volume of waste generated in urban spaces in Cameroon far exceeds the capacity of local councils to manage. Mfoundi council, like the majority councils in Cameroon, has outsourced the collection and disposal of solid waste to the private waste collection company. However, decline in waste collection rates, rising cost associated with solid waste retrieval and disposal continue to exacerbate the challenge local councils experience with regards to urban waste disposal and management. From the foregoing, this study seeks to critically examine the sustainability of the policy, and practices of Municipal Solid Waste Management MSWM systems adopted in the Mfoundi Division. This study adopted a hybrid of qualitative and quantitative approaches using questionnaires, interviews and focused group discussion as main instruments of data collection. The non probability purposive sampling was used due to time and cost constraints The findings of this study revealed that, the council waste management approach does not meet the demands of the population. Poor collection and transportation facilities, insufficient waste collection frequency, low levels of household awareness of good solid waste management practices lack of awareness on waste reuse and recycling are some of the major challenges identified by the study. Thus, people have been left with little or no choice but to dump waste in open spaces, water bodies, drainage channels, deposit along roadsides and streets. The study recommends the following, adopting a community participative approach for efficient waste management, introduction of a waste reuse recycling and reduction plan, intensive sensitization to educate the population on proper waste management practices waste separation via mass campaigns, finally the state should compel brewery and water companies to put in place an avenue to collect the plastic bottles sold to the population.

February 09, 2021 0
Assessment of Physico Chemical Properties of Ground Water in Aligarh City

Rapid urbanization and industrial boom is the new reality of modern world. The increasing population is eventually turning agricultural land or forest into concrete jungle. Hence the water bodies are one among others to be encroached by this process. As the water bodies are disappearing overtime and population is increasing, there is a huge stress on ground water. Apart from the demands of ground water, various anthropogenic activities are making water unsuitable for drinking. The present study focused on the physic chemical concentration of ground water in Aligarh city because the city is mainly dependent on its ground water for its domestic and industrial usage.

The Positive Impact of Plastic Recycling in the Built Environment, Architecture and the Waters of the World

August 30, 2020 0
The Positive Impact of Plastic Recycling in the Built Environment, Architecture and the Waters of the World

One of the ever present facts of human existence is the generation of wastes. Collection and disposal of these wastes, which are mostly plastics have always been major concerns of societies for both health and economic reasons. Every hour, Americans use 2.5 million plastic bottles, most of which are thrown away. About 9.1 of plastic production was recycled in the U.S. during 2015 although, varying by product category. Plastic packaging was recycled at 14.6 , plastic durable goods at 6.6 , and other non durable goods at 2.2 . Currently, 25 percent of plastic waste is recycled in Europe, Americans recycled 3.14 million tons of plastics in 2015, down from 3.17 million in 2014. It is the primary aim of this article to draw attention to the benefits of recycling plastics and how it is helping in keeping the built environment healthy. The instrument of more than two research strategies quantitative and qualitative research methods and their tactics were used. Secondary data were based on direct observation and relevant documents from previous studies on the related matter. Plastic recycling faces many challenges, ranging from mixed plastics to hard to remove residues. The cost effective and efficient recycling of the mixed plastic stream is perhaps the biggest challenge facing the recycling industry. With the abundance of empty plastic bottles and soil, most poor communities have embarked on taking advantage of the resources in building comfortable houses for themselves and the use of these resources have helped in keeping the built environment clean.

Indoor Air Pollution and Effects on Environment

March 18, 2020 0
Indoor Air Pollution and Effects on Environment

Indoor pollution is degradation of indoor air quality by harmful chemical and other materials it are often up to 10 times worse than outdoor pollution. This is because contained areas enable potential pollutants to create up quite open spaces. Statistics suggest that in developing countries, health impacts of indoor pollution far outweigh those of outside pollution. Indoor pollution from solid fuels accounted for 3.5 million deaths and 4.5 global daily adjusted life year DALY in 2010 it also accounted for 16 particulate pollution. Over 80 of time for most people is generally spend indoor environments, so that the influence of building structures, surfaces and ventilation on important considerations when evaluating air pollution exposures. Indoor air pollution happens when certain air pollutants from pieces and gases contaminate the air of indoor surroundings. These air pollutants can cause breathing diseases or even cancer type of pollution is significantly more harmful due to how concentrated the is in indoor environments. Objective of this paper to study the indoor air pollution effect the environment.

A Baseline Assessment of Soil Organic Carbon in the Mangroves of the Bakassi Peninsula South West Cameroon

March 18, 2020 0
A Baseline Assessment of Soil Organic Carbon in the Mangroves of the Bakassi Peninsula South West Cameroon

The mangrove soils as one of the global soil types is a major carbon store that helps to curb the rising global temperatures. This is not unconnected to their high carbon storing and sequestration potentials of the peat soils. The conclusion is characterized by some knowledge gaps on the actual carbon stock and sequestration potentials of some mangroves soils on the Central African Sub regional landscape. Some of these areas are the Bakassi mangroves in the South West Cameroon. Cross border conflicts, piracy and over exploitation have rendered the sourcing of appropriate data on its carbon stock and sequestration potentials difficult. In strive to bridge this knowledge gap, this work carried out baseline assessments of the carbon stock and sequestration rate of this peat soil. To achieve the study objectives, stratified random opportunistic sampling using an inventory design based on five forest canopy height classes, with collection of peat soils using a soil auger to different depth for laboratory analysis was done. Soils Organic Carbon stocks were estimated from soils to a depth of 100cm and determined using chromic acid digestion and spectrophotometric analysis. Parameters determined were bulk density and percentage carbon. Results showed that soil carbon stock density ranged from 705.8 Mg ha to 546.2 Mg ha . Thus on average, for a hectare in Bakassi, the Soil Organic carbon stock was 632.65 Mg ha

Absinthe: The Bliss, Curse and Renaissance

December 11, 2019 0
Absinthe: The Bliss, Curse and Renaissance
This study recognizes in essence Absinthe's ambivalent history, glory, nonsensical prohibition and renaissance. It identifies fallacies surrounding the botanical spirit and brings out how Absinthe was targeted, vilified and accused of psychosis, violence, public health disorders and societal problems, based merely on anecdotal evidence against pharmacological reality. With tide turned and chips heavily stacked against, the green fairy was banned almost worldwide. Heavily influenced and deceptive claims on Thujone, a prime constituent and its neurotoxic effects are no way linked and scientifically validated. This largely establishes that Absintheurs with moderate consumption of legally defined drink has very little to fear. Mainly down to Absinthe advocates on the front line, getting to their objectives and driving the renaissance, Green fairy earned its share in line with the honorable reputation. With Absinthe legal again and the spirit gaining ground in the global market place, sitting back with a glass of absinthe is again a stylized activity.

Zero Waste City Implementation using Waste To Energy Technology in Myanmar

August 25, 2019 0
Zero Waste City Implementation using Waste To Energy Technology in Myanmar

Waste management is a complex topic that is handled in different ways around the world based on available local resources, technologies, and intensity of community initiatives. So, Waste to Energy WTE is a renewable energy technology that has seen a major rise in the last decade as Myanmar has been looking for methods for handling its population boom and related rapid increase in waste generation rates. The conventional fuels required for production of electricity is decreasing day by day and it is very important to find out alternative sources which can be used as the fuel for the production of electricity especially for developing countries like Myanmar. In this paper, feasibility study of waste to energy WTE power conversion plant is presented to fulfil the main aim of zero waste city implementation, Mandalay, Myanmar. With the application of WTE plants, the electricity requirement can be fulfilled and also helpful for environmental condition. For case study, Mandalay Industrial Zone is selected since it has low reliability of power supply form national grid and is suitable for construction of a WTE power plant. The simulation for WTE power plant with a peak load of 30 MW is described using HOMER software. Average energy consumption of the industrial zone is estimated approximately 283 MWh day and WTE has consumed almost 118,935 tonne per year of municipal solid waste MSW . The proposed system is designed to provide approximately 100 of energy from the municipal solid waste for the proposed area.

An Investigation on B.Ed. Student Teachers Attitude Towards Environment in Coimbatore District

Environmental crisis is real. Now the time has come when we should be careful. If human society has to endure not just for another centaury but thousands and thousands of years, we need to imbecile a way of life that can be sustained. The growth of human beings and plants life can only develop fully in friendly environment that is conclusive to growth. Since, the present problems result largely from ignorance and different trend of continued misuse of the environment can, however, be altered by creating awareness among people of how man's activities effect the environment for good or ill. We cannot expect improvement unless attitudes of people change and unless a better generations. Our great need of today is knowledgeable citizens who are conscious of their surrounding and willing to take necessary, social, economic and political steps to assure a better environment for the fulfillment of need and wants of every citizen on the earth. Keeping in view the importance of environment the present study was undertaken to study the awareness among students towards environmental education.

Effects of Deforestation on Environment Special Reference to Assam

January 25, 2019 0
Effects of Deforestation on Environment Special Reference to Assam
Deforestation posses a major challenge in developing countries like India. In our present study the specific area is Assam where we face a big problem of climate change due to deforestation and other many causes. Deforestation can be defined as the clearing or removal of forest for specific reasons such as rapid industrialization, tea plantation, poverty etc whereby the land available for non- forest use. This dissolve actions of mankind which are causing an intolerable imbalance in nature and is a major factor leading to climate change, extinction of rare animals, desertification and displacement of population etc. Deforestation is also one of the major cause of a disturbed water cycle, global warming and soil erosion. If not controlled, the imbalance is likely to threaten life on Earth. The paper discusses the causes and problems of deforestation in Assam and trys to give some suggestions and highlight the government schemes to reduce it. The study recommends that to reduce deforestation in our state the central and the state governments, the NGO and the public jointly should take some immediate steps for reforestation and the states forest policy need to be strengthen by acquiring legal support for better implementation of government scheme.

Mangroves of Indian Sunderbans Depleting Alarmingly Over the Past Few Decades

June 05, 2018 0
Mangroves of Indian Sunderbans Depleting Alarmingly Over the Past Few Decades
Indian Sundar bans is tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world. It is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats, and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests. A variety of habitats have developed to accommodate the wildlife, including beaches, estuaries, permanent and semi-permanent swamps, tidal flats, tidal creeks, coastal dunes, back dunes and levees (Shapiro and Ari 2016). Besides a high number of mangrove tree species, additional plant species can be found here.

The forest cover of the study area also provide a vital buffer against cyclones that are common in that part of the world and has been called "a natural safeguard for people (Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 2017). The lives of the study area residents are frequently affected by human-animal conflicts; a few tiger and crocodile attacks every year are common. Because of issues such as deaths and injuries due to human-animal conflict, over-fishing and deforestation, the state imposed several restrictions on livelihood strategies.

The state forest department have tried to reduce the local people's dependency on the forest for their livelihood by taking several management practices on infrastructure development projects such as building roads and jetties, excavating irrigation channels and ponds, providing solar lamps and establishing a few medical facilities (Ghosh and Priyanka 2015). Studies have shown that majority of population understand and support the conservation of mangroves and it ecosystems. However, perceived socio-demographic factors such as severe poverty, lack of political commitment, and absence of community level institutions are often barriers to the successful implementation of conservation policies (Das and Mandal 2016).

Constitutional Provisions Relating to the Environment and the Impact of PIL in Safeguarding the Environment in India

December 11, 2017 0
Constitutional Provisions Relating to the Environment and the Impact of PIL in Safeguarding the Environment in India
Environmental protection refers to policies and procedures aimed at conserving the natural resources, preserving the current state of natural environment and where possible, reversing its degradation. The question of Environmental protection is a global issue and it is not an isolated problem of any area or nation. India has enacted various laws at almost regular intervals to deal with the problem of environmental degradation.

The Indian Constitution is amongst the few in the world that contains specific provisions on environment protection. The chapters directive principles of state policy and the fundamental duties are explicitly enunciated the nation commitment to protect and improve the environment. At the beginning of the 21st Century environment issues have emerged as a major concern for the welfare of the people.

The environmental protection is nota new concept in India it is there in our Vedas. The Indian judiciary adopted the technique of public interest litigation (and judicial activism) for the cause of environmental protection in many cases. The Supreme Court & High Courts shaded the inhibitions against refusing strangers to present the petitions on behalf of poor and ignorant individuals. The basic ideology behind adopting PIL is that access to justice ought not to be denied to the needy for the lack of knowledge or finances.

In PIL a public spirited individual or organization can maintain petition on behalf of poor & ignorant individuals - In the area of environmental protection, PIL has proved to be an effective tool.

National Water Policies and its relevance in Protecting the Environmental Rights

December 09, 2017 0
National Water Policies and its relevance in Protecting the Environmental Rights
Water is not a commercial product like any other but, rather, a heritage which must be protected, defended and treated as such.' - Preamble to the European Union Water Framework Directive, 2000Water is a scarce and finite resource with no substitute, only upon which the existence of life on this earth depends. During the last century, the population of the world has more than tripled, from 1.6 billion to over 6 billion, while water resources have remained constant.

According to the United Nations World Water Development Report, 2003, About 2 billion people in over 40 countries are affected by water shortages, more than 1 billion people lack sufficient and safe drinking water and 2.4 billion have no provisions for sanitation. To overcome this problem, for the first time United Nations Water Conference recognized 'œRight of water'. declaring that 'œAll peoples, whatever their stage of development and social and economic conditions, have the right to have access to drinking water in quantities and of a quality equal to their basic needs'.
