The Novel Study of Metamaterial and Its Aspects

Stealth knowledge is used to make the object less observable and is defined in terms of absorption of electromagnetic waves that is an important research area used in defence research. Radar cross section is the proportion of the objectives capacity to reflect radar signals toward the radar beneficiary. Some techniques such as shaping, radar absorbing material RAM , passive cancellation and active cancellation have been used for RCS reduction purposes. For a long time, radar absorbing material RAM has been actively pursued. For RAM weight, design, thickness, mechanical strength and absorptivity are key factors and therefore in the development of RAM, there is a trade off between weight and thickness of absorber material. Along with this, an alternative to RAM is RAS and metamaterial are one of the possible options. The metamaterial is lightweight and easy to use. The Stealth property of metamaterial is based on material property i.e., permittivity and permeability of material varying from small positive to large negative values at a particular frequency. In this paper, we hada novel study of metamaterial and its various aspects.

Magnetic Properties of Titanium Substituted Ni - Zn Ferrites

June 20, 2020 0
Magnetic Properties of Titanium Substituted Ni - Zn Ferrites

The polycrystalline samples of mixed ferrites Ni0.5 x Zn0.5TixFe2 2xO4 with x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 were prepared by ceramic method. Single phase formation is confirmed by x ray diffraction. It is seen that, for all samples the lattice constant remains constant this id due to constant in ionic radii. In the Ti substituted Ni Zn system magnetic moment value decreases with increasing Ti. The of variation of ac susceptibility with temperature, shows that the present studied samples represent MD states.

Experimental Study of Third Order Nonlinear Absorption in Pure and MG Doped Lithium Niobate Crystals
With the discovery of laser in 1960 various nonlinear effect arises, the origin of nonlinear optics lies in the nonlinear response of materials to the incident coherent radiation. Using pulsed Q switched Nd YAG Laser, we have observed the important phenomena i.e. third order nonlinear effect in the LiNbO3 crystals. In present work, I have performed an experiment using simple and sensitive single beam Z scan technique to measure nonlinear absorption in LiNbO3 crystals samples such as pure LiNbO3 crystal, 5mol Mg doped LiNbO3 crystal, and 7mol Mg doped LiNbO3 crystal.

Study on Speech Compression and Decompression by using Discrete Wavelet Transform
Speech signal can be compressed and decompressed by discrete wavelet transform technique. Discrete wavelet transform compression is based on compressing speech signal by removing redundancies present in it. Speech compression is a technique to transform speech signal into compact form. Objective of compressing speech signal is to enhance transmission and storage capacity. The compression parameters in speech such as Signal to Noise Ratio SNR , Peak Signal to Noise Ratio PSNR , Normalized Root Mean Square Error NRMSE , Compression Factor CF and Retained Signal Energy RSE are measured using Matlab.

A Comparison Study Between Two Hydrogen Sensors

September 10, 2018 0
A Comparison Study Between Two Hydrogen Sensors

In this research work, a comparison study has been carried out between Palladium Pd coated PMMA Poly Methyl Meth acryl ate optical sensor and Palladium thin films sensor that have been prepared on glass substrates. PMMA were sputter coated with Palladium using a sputter coating facility offered by the He riot Watt University, during sputter coating the target palladium is showered with argon gas such that atoms from the target are ejected by the ionized gas and then deposited on the PMMA substrate.

Palladium thin films have been prepared on glass substrates by vaporization deposition technique with annealing temperature is around 600 C. Relative inertness of the sensors to relative humidity makes it specific to detect hydrogen at low concentration. Target environments for the proposed sensors are fuel cell cabinets, industrial process plants, submarines, nuclear fuel power generation and decommissioning plants.

Results showed that optical characteristics of the prepared sensors are highly sensitive, but their properties considerably vary when the measurements conducted in vacuum or in air. In the two sensors the response-recovery time of Pd materials to hydrogen gas characterized to be extremely short.

Comparison Study Between Hydrogen Palladium Sensor and Hydrogen Manganese Dioxide Sensor

This research work oriented to compares between Palladium (Pd) thin films sensor that have been prepared on glass substrates and hydrogen sensor using optical ?ber, coated with Manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanostructures. Palladium thin films prepared by vaporization deposition technique with annealing temperature around 600C0.

Where, manganese dioxide, prepared on Optical Multimode Fiber (MMF)of 125m in diameter as the transducing platform was tapered to 20m to enhance the evanescent ?eld of the light propagates in the ?ber core. The optical characteristics of the prepared films showed that they are highly sensitive, but their properties considerably vary when the measurements conducted in vacuum or in air. The response-recovery time of Pd materials to hydrogen gas is characterized to be extremely short.

The tapered optical ?ber coated with Pd/MnO2 nanograins was found to be sensitive towards hydrogen with different concentrations in synthetic air at 240-°C operating temperature. The annealed sensor showed higher response and sensitivity compared with the as-prepared sensors when measured in the visible to near infrared optical wavelength range. The absorbance response of the annealed Pd/MnO2 on ?ber has increased to 65% compared to 20% for the as-prepared Pd/MnO2 upon exposure to 1% Hydrogenin synthetic air.

Stress Annealed CoFeNbB Alloy : A Structural Study
Article presents the influence of Nb content on structural properties of stress annealed Co21Fe64-xNbxB15 (x = 3, 5, 7) alloys has been studied using differential scanning calorimetery, in-situ length change measurements during annealing and x-ray diffraction. Results show that, increase of Nb content in the alloy increases the stability of the alloy against crystallization and is also responsible for higher elongation of the specimens. Crystallization leads to the formation of bcc Fe-Co nano-granular phase containing Co up to 38 % and affects the spin texture.

Fe75-xCoxCu1Nb3Si15B6 Alloy with Rapid Stress Annealing

Fe75-xCoxCu1Nb3Si15B6 Alloy with Rapid Stress Annealing
This Articler reports the effect of stress annealing treatment on the structural and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe75-xCoxCu1Nb3Si15B6 & Co21Fe64-xNbxB15 alloys. Information obtained from magnetic measurements, X-ray diffraction measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy reveal that for Fe75-xCoxCu1Nb3Si15B6 (x = 0, 2, 5) alloys the volume fraction of the Fe-Co nanograins and their grain diameter ranges between 56 to 80 % and 10 to 18 nm respectively. Annealing treatment at higher temperature also resulted in appearance of Fe3Si nanocrystals along with magnetically hard Fe3B, Fe23B type phases which are responsible for higher coercive field values. Presence of cobalt and applied stress during annealing has considerable effect on relative permeability and stress induced anisotropy, which is and perpendicular to the ribbon axis. Mössbauer spectroscopy analysis also suggests changes in spin texture.
