Multi Objective Optimization of PMEDM Process Parameter by Topsis Method
In this study, MRR, SR, and HV in powder mixed electrical discharge machining PMEDM were multi criteria decision making MCDM by TOPSIS method. The process parameters used included work piece materials, electrode materials, electrode polarity, pulse on time, pulse off time, current, and titanium powder concentration. Some interaction pairs among the process parameters were also used to evaluate. The results showed that optimal process parameters, including ton = 20 µs, I= 6 A, tof = 57 µs, and 10 g l. The optimum characteristics were MRR = 38.79 mm3 min, SR = 2.71 m, and HV = 771.0 HV.

 In this project we investigate the weld parameters of unbaked E7018 electrode low hydrogen covered electrode on MS weld metal. After welding the specimen, we conducted some

prilimary tests on weld metal. This tests shows the weld metal characteristics and electrode performance. Also evaluate the effect of the current and voltage of the electrode on the weld metal. This electrode parameters shows effect of hardness and tensile strength of weld metal. Also we evaluate the effect of HAZ Heat Affected Zone on weld metal, there is a concern related to how the mechanical properties in the heat affected zone HAZ influence the behaviour of the joint. If electrode diameter and current increases the HAZ also increases. In this project for given dimensions 150 150 8 mm of weld metal we modify the current and size of the electrode and perform the welding operation on weld metal, and bring the results of weld joint in efficient manner. The welding and prilimary tests was performed at room temperature.

Performance and Analysis of Weld Joint by using Two Dissimilar Electrodes E6010 and E7018

In this project we discussed the characteristics and performance of electrodes on the MS metal in arc welding method. In this two different electrodes E6010 and E7018 welding parameters investigated. After that the dye penetration test conducted for knowing the defects due to electrodes and welding ,again the welded specimens were cut and machined to standard configurations for tensile test. The results showed that selecting different welding electrodes had a remarkable effect on the mechanical properties such as the ultimate tensile strength, hardness, elongation percentage, and yield strength of the welded specimens. The increment in the electrical current for each electrode in the welding processes led to increase in yield strength and tensile strength. The initial increase in tensile strength and yield strengths were observed. This behaviour was attributed to the fact that different welding electrodes and increased the required electrical current to melting for the welding electrode, increased the electrical current led to increased heat input on heat affected zone HAZ , then the observed change mechanical properties which could create area for defect. The welding processes and tensile test at a room temperature was performed.

In the recent past many industries have widely started adopting 3D Printing for prototyping and manufacturing of low volume customized parts. This paper will look at additive manufacturing or 3D printing and how electronic enclosures can be developed using this technology. 


It will define the meaning of this term and what is so significant about it. It will delve a bit into its advantages, compared to conventional methods of manufacturing and its types. Then finally we will discuss the steps involved in design of these enclosures and some guidelines while designing them for 3D printing.

The coating on Al6061 Aluminium alloy surface with WC/Ni powder compact electrode using electrical discharge machining

EDM is an unconventional machining process widely used for machining tough material. A special aspect of EDM is surface modification by transferring the tool electrode material to workpiece surface. 


In the present work, electrode prepared with tungsten carbide (WC) and nickel (Ni) by powder metallurgy route as tool and Al6061 as workpiece substrate. By changing the polarity of EDM (workpiece as cathode and tool as anode), the hard carbide layer of WC/Ni tool has been deposited on the workpiece. 

The influence of compaction load through P/M method, discharge current and pulse on time during electrical discharge coating (EDC) on metal transfer rate (MTR) and tool wear rate (TWR) have been studied. As design of experiment, face centered central composite of response surface methodology (RSM) has been adopted to study the influence of various parameter on EDC.
