Image Fusion using PCA Based Fusion Rule in Wavelet Domain

September 15, 2020 0
Image Fusion using PCA Based Fusion Rule in Wavelet Domain

Image fusion deals with combination of two or more images at input to produce new fused output image. Image fusion is a branch of image processing which is developing rapidly. The main aim of image fusion is to provide maximum information in the resulting image produced from the fusion of two or more images of the same scene or different taken at different instant of time. The result of image fusion is an image with more information and better quality. PCA provides dimensionality reduction and feature extraction. DWT decomposes the image by a factor of two. LWT is a second generation wavelet.

Design and Implementation of Digital Image Transformation Algorithms

March 19, 2019 0
Design and Implementation of Digital Image Transformation Algorithms
In computer science, Digital Image Processing or DIP is the use of computer hardware and software to perform image processing and computations on digital images. Generally, digital image processing requires the use of complex algorithms, and hence, can be more sophisticated from a performance perspective at doing simple tasks. Many applications exist for digital image processing, one of which is Digital Image Transformation. Basically, Digital Image Transformation or DIT is an algorithmic and mathematical function that converts one set of digital objects into another set after performing some operations. Some techniques used in DIT are image filtering, brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation adjustment, blending and dilation, histogram equalization, discrete cosine transform, discrete Fourier transform, edge detection, among others. This paper proposes a set of digital image transformation algorithms that deal with converting digital images from one domain to another. The algorithms to be implemented are grayscale transformation, contrast and brightness adjustment, hue and saturation adjustment, histogram equalization, blurring and sharpening adjustment, blending and fading transformation, erosion and dilation transformation, and finally edge detection and extraction. As future work, some of the proposed algorithms are to be investigated with parallel processing paving the way to make their execution time faster and more scalable.

Sixth Sense Technology

Sixth Sense is a gesture-based wearable computer interface system developed at MIT Media Lab by Steve Mann in 1994 and in 1997 head worn gestural interface was developed, and in 1998 neck worn version , was developed and further Pranav Mistry from MIT MEDIA LAB developed hardware and software for head worn and neck worn versions in the year of 2009.

It connects the physical world with digital world around us .It consists of hardware components connected wirelessly to the computing peripherals. It uses enabling surfaces, walls and physical object as interface and it reduces the gap of line between physical and digital world. It help us to take right decision which improve our power of knowledge. Goal is to bring part of the physical world to digital world.

Detection and Rectification of Distorted Fingerprints

August 16, 2018 0
Detection and Rectification of Distorted Fingerprints
One of the open come outs in fingerprint confirmation is the lack of robustness against image quality degradation. Poor-quality images result in specious and missing features, thus degrading the performance of the overall system. Therefore, it is very important for a fingerprint acknowledgement system to estimate the quality and validity of the captured fingerprint images. Also the elastic distortion of fingerprints is one of the major causes for false non-match. While this problem impacts all fingerprint acknowledged applications, it is especially unsafe in negative recognition applications, such as watch list and reduplication applications. In such applications, malicious users may purposely distort their fingerprints to elude identification.

In the existing approaches by matching the different data set by plotting Rigid Core Delta point to be specified as the finger print recognition. In this paper, we proposed novel algorithms to detect and rectify skin distortion based on a individual fingerprint image. In this process the detection is based on the patches based approaches. In these approaches the patches is defined as the rectangular position the distortion is not detected at the specified fingerprint. The patches size is varied the distortion is detection and a SVM classifier is prepared to perform the classification task. Distortion rectification (distortion field estimation) is considered as a regression problem, where the input used is a distorted fingerprint and the output is the distortion less field.

Generation of Personalized Handwriting Written in Different Language - A Technical Review

Generation of Personalized Handwriting Written in Different Language - A Technical Review

Digitization of handwritten document is important for better processing and storage. But people wish to have their own personal handwriting as font because Personal font style gives a personal touch and make the document more eye-catching. Font generation is a process of generation of a handwritten document-based writing characteristic which is specific to user' writing style. In this paper comparative study of font generation techniques has been presented for different languages such as English, Bangla, and Chinese. We also compare different methods like RNN, a Macro structure model, LSTM etc. which were used for font generation in different languages. Different parameters have been considered for regenerating someone' font like character glyph, character space and connection style.
