Role of Solar Photovoltaic Technology in Development of Social Work

April 14, 2021 0
Role of Solar Photovoltaic Technology in Development of Social Work

The depleting fossil fuels and environmental concerns are paving the way for the development of renewable energy sources for power generation. The generation of electricity through solar photovoltaic PV is one of the best ways to increase energy security and address environmental concerns. Various remote areas in developing countries like India lack access to electricity at houses, community health and education facilities. Electricity generation by using stand alone solar PV systems make the electrification of isolated areas possible. The maturation of PV technology and reduction in the cost of PV modules have made the availability and use PV more profound. Solar PV generated power can be used for lighting purpose water pumping application for meeting the domestic and irrigation water demand flour milling vaccine refrigeration at health centers running communication devices like radio and television sets which help in linking rural people to the urban centers, etc. This paper presents the role of solar photovoltaic power in sustainable development of communities especially in rural areas.

Experimental Study on the Effect of CuO DI Water Nanofluids on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop in a Circular Tube with Inserts

Experimental Study on the Effect of CuO DI Water Nanofluids on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop in a Circular Tube with Inserts

In this experimental study, convective heat transfer and friction factor characteristics of CuO DI water nanofluids flowing through a plain tube with spiraled rod inserts SRI is studied. The experiment is conducted under laminar flow and constant heat flux conditions. CuO nanoparticles are dispersed in Deionized DI water to prepare CuO DI water nanofluids with 0.1 volume concentration of nanoparticles. From the experimental results, it is found that the inclusion of nanoparticles in DI water enriches the Nusselt number. The enhancement in Nusselt number is 19 at Re 2240 for a plain tube with nanofluids of 0.1 volume concentration compared to DI water. Two copper SRIs with pitches 50 mm and 30 mm are used which increased the Nusselt number by 35.9 and 37.2 respectively with nanofluids of 0.1 volume concentration compared to DI water. The estimated friction factor with the use of nanofluids is 4.2 more than the DI water, which is an insignificant one, so there is no penalty in pumping power.

Nano Robots for Continuous Blood Glucose Diagnosis

October 05, 2019 0
Nano Robots for Continuous Blood Glucose Diagnosis

Diabetes has established itself among the deadliest diseases of the century. Many Leading Fatal diseases are majorly caused or supported by this metabolic disorder. Diabetes has become very common over the years, showing a rapid increase in the number of cases. The increasing trends clearly show that there is a demand to come up with some new efficient methods to support its treatment procedures. Tedious and painful methods for its monitoring on a daily basis has to be carried out by people suffering from it which involves pricking their fingers many times a day, increasing the possibilities of infections and side effects. Nanorobotics can give a potential alternative for its diagnosis which ensures better levels of safety standards as compared to current available methods. In this review, we will present a concept for continuous measuring of blood glucose levels with nano bots which will stay in the bloodstream and report results to an external system which can be further analysed. The bots will have a structure of a multiwall carbon nanotube. Researchers have been actively working on the development of this field and hence this novel idea will be actively used within the public when it passes its first human trial. The run to construct such nano structures is on and with advancements with each passing day they are expected to hit the markets for public use after the estimated time of 5 years.

Invitro Assessment of Antibacterial and Antioxidant Property of Biofabricated Silver Nanoparticles using Aqueous Extract of Bauhinia Tomentosa

Biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles is an eye catching area of a modern research field. It is simple, single step, non toxic and eco friendly method. In the present investigation, the aqueous extract of Bauhinia tomentosa is used to synthesise silver nanoparticles and it was confirmed by UV Visible spectrometer. Due to surface Plasmon resonance, the peak obtained at 440.0 nm. The functional group present at the surface of the silver nanoparticles was confirmed by FT IR analysis. Further, the synthesized silver nanoparticles were subjected to antibacterial activity by Well diffusion method and also antioxidant activity performed by hydrogen peroxide scavenging assay. As concentration of silver nanoparticles increases the bactericidal activity is raised and also the antioxidant activity is increased. Thus it reveals that due to presence of various bioactive compounds present in the plant extract acting as reducing agent to reduce the size of silver ions into silver nanoparticles. Therefore, the biosynthesized nanoparticles is utilized for various biomedical applications.

Nanorobots in Cancer Treatment

January 22, 2018 0
Nanorobots in Cancer Treatment
Nanorobotics is one of the emerging and advanced technology in various field. The scientist throughout the world involves in research and development of nanorobots. The size of nanorobots is 10-9 meter and it is opposed to microrobotics. It is composed of many nano components. The range of device is 0.1-10 micrometer. It plays main role in medical industry as well as space industry. Nano medicine is developed using nanorobots. The nanorobots is highly durable. The largest contribution is given by IT (Information Technology) and sensor Technology for the development of Nano Technology. Nanorobots is different from macro robots due to some scale and material, even there are some similarities in the design and control techniques.

The nanorobots is called as self- replication because it replace worn-out units by producing the copies of themselves. Nanorobots helps to treat some diseases like removal of kidney stone, diagnose and treat the cancer cells in human body, eliminate the defected parts in DNA, cerebral Aneurysm and also some other treatments and save the life of human. Robotic devices are used to help the patient in hospital rooms, complex surgery can also be performed using the robot, laboratory test can also be performed, some missing limbs can be replaced, help in rehabilitation after stroke and also to diagnose some diseases. Nanorobots are nano devices used for protecting and maintaining the human body against pathogens. Nanorobotics can be named as nanoids, nonomites, nanites or nanorobots can be used to describe hypothetical devices. This paper helps to review the working of nanorobots in medical field and also it gives the detailed explanation of its application
