October 11, 2021 0
Nasya Karma an Emergency Therapy W.S.R. Visha Chiktsa
The Nasya Karma has been specifically indicated, when the poison reaches the head region Shirogata Visha . As the medicines administered through Nasya directly enter the central nervous system, this treatment modality can be aptly used in such emergency medical conditions. The administration of Nasya doesn't need any specific pre therapeutic measures like Snehana Oleation or Swedana Sudation etc. which are compulsory before other starting other treatments like Vamana or Virechana. This makes it more suitable for its use in the emergency cases of poisoning. Moreover, the utilization of Nasya Karma has been observed right since the Vedic period and this extensive tradition of Nasya Karma gives lots of confidence about its safety and efficacy. Even certain researches in modern medical science have proved its utility, but still there is a greater need to explore and utilize this treatment option in a more scientific manner. Poisoning is always an emergency condition that doctor has to handle diligently and cautiously. Nasya karma NK drug delivery through nasal passage is considered to be the best one among all the panchkarmas for all urdhwajatrugata Organs above the adam's apple diseases. According to its practical application with minimum requirements, its accessibility is comparatively is easier. From 2016, CCIM has declared Agadatantra as a clinical subject. Agadatantra is the ayurvedic toxicological science which deals with the study of signs and symptoms of different types of poisons and its management. Among the twenty four treatment modalities of vishachikitsa, nasya is one. But practicle application of drugs which are used for NK in poisoned cases were not available at first hand.

Ethnic Cleansing in the Paradise of Earth A Study of “Our Moon Has Blood Clots” by Rahul Pandita

Ethnic Cleansing in the Paradise of Earth A Study of “Our Moon Has Blood Clots” by Rahul Pandita

The word ‘ethnic cleansing’ means a systematic and forced removal of certain ethnic or religious group by a more powerful ethnic or religious group, often resulting in making a certain area homogenous and practicing same religion. Most Kashmiri Pandits living in the Kashmir Valley left in 1990 as aggressor viciousness inundated the state. Some 95 of the 160,000 170,000 networks left in what is regularly depicted as an instance of ethnic purifying. For what reason did they leave What political developments have followed A large part of the current spotlight is on the individuals who have left Kashmir. The current paper attempts to investigate the injury of Kashmiri Pandit, who were dislodged from Kashmir valley during the political disturbance of 1990s, as depicted in Rahul Panditas wonderfully composed memoir Our Moon Has Blood Clots, deploring the deficiency of home, the story of the book is in first person, and the writer consistently portrays the encounters of his own just as his family pre 1990s and post 1990s. Chaotic panic was widespread. Fear and fright loomed large. Humanity was being hijacked while the confusion was confounded. Kashmiri Pandits and those Kashmiri Muslims who supported their Pandit brethren were running for their lives. Loud pro Islam and anti Hindu slogans were raised collectively by a multitude of humanity and relayed through powerful loudspeakers almost piercing the ear drums. These outbursts were not new to the Pandits in their homeland as they were accustomed to these shout outs at odd hours with tumultuous bangs and threats that were brewing in the valley of Kashmir. This was the starting of ethnic cleansing’ from the Valley of Kashmir.

The Concept of Duty in Kalidasa’s Works

Life is a combination of joys and sorrows. To lead a good life, people refer into great person’s lives and their great works. By being physically nearer to great persons, one may be inspired. But he cannot observe all their aspects and follow them fully. If one looks into masterpieces of literature, he can learn many lessons. Mahakayvas and dramas are surely master pieces of literature. Particularly the works of Kalidasa are leading lights of knowledge for humanity. In our life Duties and rights go hand in hand, but great poets have focused on the duties to be performed. It is beneficial to individuals and also to society. Beginining from a peasant upto the king, duty is compulsory. Even lord , the creator is bound by duties. Heroes of Kalidasa’s works are kings or noble persons. All were honored for their duties and they were criticized for neglect of their duties. This view is the central theme of kalidasa’s works. The duty concept seen in kalidasa’s works at the outset is the central point of our study.
