Revolutionize Withering Process and Technology for World Tea Industry

Withering is the first stage of manufacturing process. The role of Withering is described as the changes that occur in the green leaf from the moment it is plucked from the bush to the time of maceration. As tea manufacturing technology evolves, the method and value of withering on black tea quality appears to be changing. In the production of flavour teas where tea is rolled, withering is considered vital for quality. Maceration machines operate most effectively within fairly narrow leaf moisture range. UN withered leafs is difficult to ferment and dry. Withering can be used as a means of storing the green leaf when leaf is very abundant or when it is short so that manufacturing can be effectively managed.
