Simulation and Analysis of Variable Speed Wind Turbine Coupled With Self-Excited Induction Generator

This paper presents the analysis of a wind driven Self-excited induction generator [SEIG] is connected to the resistive load. The power flow analysis is carried out for different wind velocities.

The proposed scheme for regulating the flow of power through rectifier ensures reduced reactive power burden on the self excitation capacitor bank. The induction generator wind turbine and the AC- DC converters are modeled using MAT LAB.
