    Survey on Safety of Cosmetics Cosmetovigilance
    The phrase pharmacovigilance refers to the tasks of collecting, detecting, evaluating, monitoring, and preventing adverse drug reactions. The term vigilance has recently been expanded to include the safety of herbal and cosmetic items. The word cosmetovigilance was coined to describe industry wide surveillance to address the safety of cosmetic products. A cosmetic is any preparation applied to the skin, eyes, lips, hair, or nails for the purposes of cleansing, enhancing appearance, providing a pleasant scent, or providing protection. Despite the fact that cosmetics are mostly diffused compounds applied topically to wash, scent, or improve appearance, the number of documented adverse reactions is extremely low, because to underreporting. Cosmetovigilance allows us to rule out or regulate potentially harmful substances, putting our minds at ease about the items we buy. The goal of the study was to determine the prevalence and characteristics of adverse cosmetic events ACEs reported, through survey.

    The use of the nasal route for the delivery of challenging drugs such as small polar molecules, vaccines, hormones, peptides and proteins has created much interest in nowadays. Due to the high permeability, high vasculature, low enzymatic environment of nasal cavity and avoidance of hepatic first pass metabolism are well suitable for Systemic delivery of drug molecule via nose Many drug delivery devices for nasal application of liquid, semisolid and solid formulation are investigated to deliver the drugs to the treat most crisis CNS diseases i.e., Parkinson’s dis ease, Alzheimer’s disease because it requires rapid and or specific targeting of drugs to the brain. It is well suitable for the delivery of biotechnological products like proteins, peptides, hormones, DNA plasmids for DNA vaccines to give enhanced bioavailability. This review sets out to discuss some factors affecting nasal absorption, bioavailability barriers, strategies to improve nasal absorption, new developments in nasal dosage form design and applications of nasal drug delivery system.

    Premenstrual Syndrome PMS

    Premenstrual Syndrome PMS is a combination of physical and mood disturbances that occur in the last half of a woman’s menstrual cycle after ovulation which normally end with the onset of the menstrual flow. 1 PMS is a very common problem occurring with the woman’s. This research work shows the percentage ratio of the sign and symptoms of the affected individuals. Personal communication was held with the aid of the questionnaire to take the review of the affected individuals. To reduce the PMS symptoms the article shows the treatment and lifestyle modifications of the individuals.

    A Case of Sheehan’s Syndrome: A Rare but Life - Threatening Complication

    Hypopituitarism developing after severe post partum haemorrhage PPH is called Sheehan’s Syndrome. Sheehan described in 1937 developing in women after PPH. Sheehan’s Syndrome though rare and still one of the commonest causes of the hypopituitarism in developing countries. Case report of a women with Sheehan’s syndrome who prescribed with major features of hypopituitarism within 10 year of her delivery which was complicated by post partum haemorrhage.

    Hypokalemic periodic paralysis HPP is a medical emergency with prevalence of 1 in 100,000 . Rapid management is very important since, very low potassium levels can lead to cardiac complications . In this case, a twenty four year old female without a similar history in the family, having hypokalemia periodic paralysis attack is presented. This case report study has been presented for the consideration of the rare HPP in patients presenting with sudden muscle weakness.

    A Brief Overview on Active Air Sampling Procedure for Environment Monitoring

    In this paper, we are going to discuss the ‘Active Air Sampling procedure for EM. EM stands for Environment Monitoring. Environment monitoring is performed in the pharmaceutical manufacturing plants to monitor the contamination of viable and non viable particle count. Viable particle count can be observed through the ‘Settle Plate method, Active Air Sampling, Surface Monitoring contact plate and swab test , and Personnel Monitoring method. Non viable particles are dust particles and other non living particles. Active Air sampling is performed by microbiologist in the production and manufacturing area using the equipment known as ‘Air Sampler. A media plate of SCDA Soybean Casein Digest Agar prepared under sterile condition by the microbiologist. The media plate is then allowed to adjust under the ‘Air Sampler hood and then it is used for sampling purpose. Air sampler captures 1000L air as per validated time in a 1cubic meter of volume and therefore air sampling is thus performed in the middle of the surrounding area. The sampled plate is then incubated, and after then the required incubation is provided, and the plate is thus analyzed to determine whether our manufacturing area meets the level of expected counts or it crosses the required limit and, on this basis, the reporting is thus generated on regular basis.

    A Retrospective Study on Evaluation of Patients with Uterine Fibroid in a Tertiary Care Hospital
    Uterine fibroids are a major cause of morbidity in women of reproductive age. Hence it is important to evaluate the occurrence of fibroid. An observational retrospective study was carried out in Obstetric and Gynecology Department over a period of 2 months. Each of the cases was scrutinized for sociodemographic, clinical profile and other necessary information. In this study, Fibroid was found to be predominant in premenopausal women. .Parity and number of abortions had no much significance with fibroid diagnosed. The primary management of obese patients were found as weight reduction and diet control. Hysterectomy was done based on large fibroid size.
