A Study to Assess the Knowledge Regarding Emotional Exhaustion and Its Prevention among Staff Nurses in Selected Hospital, Kanpur, U.P.
A quick and unpredicted state of health care puts nurses at risk of injury and illness. Nurses have big responsibilities and great challenges. Nurses are exhibit to many pressing needs and pressures and are therefore at greater risk for a wide range of health, safety and other problems. Emotional exhaustion is a chronic illness caused by exhaustion. Methods Evaluative research approach was used for this study and it aims to assess the knowledge regarding emotional exhaustion and its prevention among staff nurses. Structured knowledge questionnaire regarding emotional exhaustion and its prevention were used. Non probability convenient sampling technique was used to select the sample. Result This revealed that 59 of the staff nurses had inadequate knowledge and 41 had moderately adequate and no one having adequate knowledge regarding emotional exhaustion and its prevention. The chi squared test value was found to be statistically significant at p value. Conclusion Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn that highest percentage of staff nurses having inadequate knowledge and lowest percentage of staff nurses having moderately adequate knowledge and no one having adequate knowledge regarding emotional exhaustion and its prevention. Therefore knowledge of staff nurses can be further improved by providing in service education, educational programmes, or health education in this aspect.

The data was collected by self structured questionnaire regarding cardio pulmonary resuscitation among BGNM 2nd year students in Desh Bhagat University School of Nursing Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. The data was analyzed in terms of objectives of the study using descriptive and inferential statistics in terms of frequency, percentage distribution, mean, Standard deviation,‘t' value, and chi square. Results As per percentage distribution of student according to age and gender it was found that Maximum students were in 21yrs 64 followed by, in 20yrs 20 in above 21years 12 and in 19 yrs 4 included in age group. A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Interpretive Educative Session in Improving the Knowledge on Interpretation Regarding Arterial Blood Gas Values among Critical Care Nurses in Selected Hospitals at Gwalior
Arterial blood gas ABG analysis is one of the most basic tests of pulmonary function, performed routinely in hospitals throughout the world. The proper application of the concepts of acid base imbalance will help the health care provider not only to follow the progress of the patient but also to evaluate the effectiveness of care being provided. Accurate assessment of the relationship between abnormal blood gas findings and a patient's overall clinical condition is a common challenge for critical care nurses. To meet this challenge, nurses must understand the mechanisms underlying acid base balance and the common causes of acid base imbalance. Considering this major problem, a study was carried out with a purpose of identifying the effectiveness of interpretive educative session in improving the knowledge on interpretation regarding arterial blood gas values among critical care nurses in a selected hospital at Gwalior.
