Study on Transmission Probabilities for Some Rectangular Potential Barriers

August 02, 2019 0
Study on Transmission Probabilities for Some Rectangular Potential Barriers

In this research, we apply the time independent Schroedinger equation for a particle moving in one dimensional potential barrier of finite width and height. We study the two cases which corresponds to the particle energies being respectively larger and smaller than the potential barrier. Then, we calculate transmission coefficient T as a function of particle energy E for a potential barrier by changing the barrier height V0 and width L using Propagation Matrix Method. If we keep the barrier width constant and varying the height, we see that the passing limit is shifting towards the higher energies when barrier height is increased. If we keep the barrier height constant and change the barrier width, we see significance change in oscillations.

Long Term Measurements of Radon Concentrations in Some Cheroot Samples

Radon is the biggest contributor to natural and radiation in the environment and causes long term health concern. The link between tobacco, cigarette smoke and cancer has long been established. Smokers are ten times at greater risk of developing lung cancer than that of non smokers. In this work, the radioactive radon concentrations of some cheroot samples in Myanmar were measured using SSNTDs technique and long term measurements were carried out for period of 100 days. According to the detection of alpha tracks, alpha track density and radon concentrations were carried out. And then annual effective dose of radiation in the corresponding samples were calculated.

Effect of Ytterbium Substitution on the Structural and Magnetic Properties of Nanocrystalline Zinc Ferrite

August 01, 2019 0
Effect of Ytterbium Substitution on the Structural and Magnetic Properties of Nanocrystalline Zinc Ferrite

A series of ytterbium substituted Zinc ferrites Zn YbxFe1 x 2O4 with x=0.0000, 0.0125, 0.0250, 0.0375, 0.0500 was synthesized by the solid state method. The structural characterizations of all the prepared samples were done by using X ray diffraction XRD . These studies confirmed the formation of single phase structure in all compositions. The increase in the value of lattice parameter with increase in ytterbium concentration suggests the expansion of unit cell. Crystallinity and the crystallite size are observed to increase with the concentration of Ytterbium. The substitution of ytterbium strongly influences the magnetic characteristics and this is confirmed from the magnetization measurements at room temperature.

Control Synthesis of Electro Hydraulic Drive Based on the Concept of Inverse Dynamics Problems

Electro hydraulic drives are widely used in various branches of technology due to a number of its advantages, which include significant specific power the ratio of power developed by the drive to its mass , high speed and the ability to position the output link with a sufficient degree of accuracy. However, hydraulic drives are non linear objects, which makes it difficult to synthesize drive control, which provides the required dynamic characteristics. This paper presents an approach to solving the problem of constructing a control algorithm based on the concept of inverse problems of dynamics by an electro hydraulic drive, consisting structurally of an electro hydraulic amplifier and an executive hydraulic cylinder.

Calculation of Metal Pollution Index and Enrichment Factor in Sodic Soil from Salt Production Area

In the present paper, the sodic soil samples were collected from the salt production area of Thakhauttaw, Hanlin, Sataung Gyi and Paline, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region. These samples were studied on the elemental analysis using the energy dispersive x ray fluorescence EDXRF spectroscopy. In order to evaluate the contamination status of metals, assessment indices such as metal pollution index MPI and enrichment factors EFs have been calculated by using the metal concentrations from the EDXRF results. The values of metal pollution index MPI for all samples were less than 1. This indicating the sodic soil was no significant of metal pollution. The results of enrichment factors show that Ca and Mn considerable enriched levels in the soil. According to health physics point of view, the overall study suggests that the sodic soil from salt production area were not metal contaminated and long term consumption cannot be cause potential health risks to consumers.

PAPR Reduction in OFDM using New Hybrid Techniques

PAPR Reduction in OFDM using New Hybrid Techniques

With the advancement in age and its growing demands, there has been fast production in the field of communication system. Signals, which were sent at the beginning in the analog form, are being sent more and more in the digital form now in these days. For improved transmission, even single carrier waves are being recouped by multi carriers' waves. Multi carrier systems like CDMA and OFDM are now a days being implemented commonly. In the OFDM system, orthogonally placed subcarriers are used to send the data from the transmitter end to the receiver end. Presence of guard band in this communication system deals with the ISI issues and noise is mitigated by larger number of sub carriers. But the large PAPR Peak to Average Power Ratio of these signals have some unsuitable effects on the communication system. In this research work we have focused on the OFDM System and have implemented various techniques to reduce the PAPR in the OFDM system so that this system can be used more commonly and energetically.

Survey on PAPR Reduction Techniques in OFDM System

Survey on PAPR Reduction Techniques in OFDM System

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing OFDM is perhaps the most spectrally efficient, robust transmission technique discovered so far for communication systems, and it also mitigates the problem of multipath environment. Due to its advantages in multipath fading channel e.g. robust against ISI, ICI and some other advantages like best QoS for multiple users, efficient usage of bandwidth it is suggested to be the modulation technique for next generation 4G networks e.g. LTE. But along with all its advantages there are some disadvantages also e.g. High PAPR Peak to Average Power Ratio at the transmitter end and BER Bit Error Rate at the receiving end. OFDM is used in the downlink of 4G networks. To reduce the problems of OFDM some techniques e.g. SLM, PTS, Clipping, Coding, and Pre coding etc are suggested but none of them is reduce the PAPR and BER to an acceptable value. This Paper will discuss some techniques of PAPR and BER reduction, and their advantages and disadvantages in detail.

Natural Language Description Generation for Image using Deep Learning Architecture

Automatic natural description generation of an image is currently a challenging task. To generate a natural language description of the image, the system is implemented by combining with the techniques of computer vision and natural language processing. This paper presents different deep learning models for generating the natural language description of the image. Moreover, we discussed how the deep learning model, which works for the natural language description of an image, can be implemented. This deep learning model consists of Convolutional Neural Network CNN as well as Recurrent Neural Network RNN . The CNN is used for extracting the features from the image and RNN is used for generating the natural language description. To implement the deep learning model in generating the natural language description of an image, we have applied the Flickr 8K dataset and we have also evaluated the performance of the model using the standard evaluation matrices. These experiments show that the model is frequently giving accurate natural language descriptions for an input image.

Minimization of Assignment Problems

The assignment problem is a special type of linear programming problem and it is sub class of transportation problem. Assignment problems are defined with two sets of inputs i.e. set of resources and set of demands. Hungarian algorithm is able to solve assignment problems with precisely defined demands and resources.Nowadays, many organizations and competition companies consider markets of their products. They use many salespersons to improve their organizations marketing. Salespersons travel form one city to another city for their markets. There are some problems in travelling which salespeople should go which city in minimum cost. So, travelling assignment problem is a main process for many business functions.

Classification of Paddy Types using Naïve Bayesian Classifiers

Classification is a form of data analysis that can be used extract models describing important data classes or to predict future data trends. Classification is the process of finding a set of models that describe and distinguish data classes or concepts, for the purpose of being able to use the model to predict the class of objects whose class label is unknown. In classification techniques, Naïve Bayesian Classifier is one of the simplest probabilistic classifiers. This paper is to study the Naïve Bayesian Classifier and to classify class label of paddy type data using Naïve Bayesian Classifier. This paper predicts four class labels and displays the selected impacts attribute of each class label by using Naïve Bayesian classifier. Moreover, this paper can predict the types of paddy for paddy dataset by using other classification methods such as Decision Tree and Artificial Neural Network. Furthermore, this system can be used to predict production rate and display the selected impacts attribute of other crops such as soybeans, corns, cottons. This paper focuses on paddy dataset and decides paddy types are Lasbar or Yar Sabar or Yenat Khan Sabar or Sar Ngan Khan Sabar.
