Risk Management in Banking

October 10, 2021 0
Risk Management in Banking
“Risk” and “Banking” are moving together with most of the latter is somehow involving a very high amount of former and ways and means from time to time have been evolved to let go the risk by introducing strict norms, in the form of security items and guidelines, which are changing with the perception of the people, at times volatile and highly correlated, with public opinion and leadership involved in decision making of policies. Basic question is why it is important Answer is tough but if we go deep down banking is all about money and money is one of the most important parts of an economy which both on macro and micro parts involves nation, people and at the very base a human. In this paper I will try to relate ‘risk with banking' by categorising risk into various sub parts and assigning weight ages to the banking channels and then comparing and trying to classify policies and best practices going on with the practices available and going on in India. ‘Monetary policy' is a very difficult part to deal with and it is dealt with central institutional structure involving governing bodies operating in tandem with each other at international level as well as local level. Role of media today has also become critical as Banks at time have suffered from ‘run' in which sensitization of subject by media becomes critical and influenced opinions can be detrimental to the stability of economy which is directly related to the stability of financial institutions.

Assessment of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management in Indian Stock Market

A portfolio is an assortment of protections. Since it is infrequently alluring to contribute the whole assets of an individual or a foundation in solitary security, it is basic that each security is seen in the portfolio setting. Consequently, it appears to be sensible that the normal return of every one of the securities contained in the portfolio. Portfolio investigation thinks about the assurance of future danger and returns in holding different mixes of individual protections. Security Analysis in both customary sense and current sense includes the projection of future profit, or income streams, a figure of the offer cost later on, and assessing the natural estimation of security dependent on the conjecture of income or profits. The current examination is conscious to inspect the Risk and Return Analysis of Selected Stocks in India. Danger might be characterized as the opportunity of varieties in real return. Return is characterized as the addition in the estimation of speculation. The profit for a venture portfolio causes a speculator to assess the monetary presentation of the venture.

Boosting Potato Enterprise Performance among Smallholder Farmers in Tanzania through Risks Management

Boosting Potato Enterprise Performance among Smallholder Farmers in Tanzania through Risks Management

Smallholder potato farmers in Tanzania use different on farm risk management strategies to boost potato enterprise performance. However, knowledge on how on farm risk management strategies boost potato enterprise performance remains undocumented and scarce. Therefore, this study uses cross sectional data collected from 384 potato smallholder farmers in 2019, to first identify various on farm risk management strategies and then to determine the effect of risk management strategies on potato enterprise performance. Data is analysed by use of content analysis and descriptive statistics. Further, a multiple regression model is used to determine the effect of risk management strategies’ attributes on potato enterprise performance. The findings of content analysis and descriptive statistics indicate that potato smallholder farmers use various strategies to boost potato enterprise performance. The strategies include application of chemicals, irrigation, furrowing, increased frequency of fungicide application, field sanitation practices, searching for markets, transporting potatoes direct to the markets, use of market information and delaying harvesting of potatoes by leaving them in the soil. Empirical results from multiple regression model reveal that, frequent use, perceived effectiveness, costs and the number of on farm risk management strategies boost potato enterprise performance in Tanzania. The findings of this paper have several policy implications. First, more and effective risk management strategies such as the use of irrigation system, fungicides, accessing marketing information should be employed to boost potato enterprise performance in Tanzania. Second, since, the cost of risk management strategies had improved potato enterprise performance among smallholder farmers in Tanzania. However, the cost of employing risk management strategies is higher than the benefit potato smallholders get as a result of the strategies employed. The high costs had resulted from employing risk management strategies such as the purchase of irrigation systems during low rainfall and frost bites. Hence, potato smallholder farmers through public private partnerships between Lusitu Agribusiness Group and Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank TADB should establish a village hiring irrigation to dramatically reduce the costs associated with risk management strategies such as irrigation.

Research on the Early Warning Mechanism of Cold Chain Logistics Risk of Fresh Agricultural Products

In recent years, fresh agricultural product safety incidents have emerged one after another, and the quality risk of fresh agricultural products has become a pain in the cold chain. This research first summarizes the status quo of cold chain logistics of fresh agricultural products and the research results of related literature, proposes the direction and purpose of this research, and then establishes a risk warning system for the cold chain logistics risks of fresh agricultural products conducts relevant through expert interviews, questionnaires, etc. Data collection, combined with the characteristics of the cold chain logistics of fresh agricultural products, sorted out a first level risk indicator system based on processing risk, packaging risk, transportation risk, inventory risk, management risk, and information risk finally, SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis and established The linear equation constructs a cold chain logistics risk early warning model for fresh agricultural products, which provides quantifiable results for fresh agricultural products enterprises, verifies the feasibility of the model through empirical analysis, and further enriches the research on fresh agricultural products, which has certain reality Meaning and academic value. The Rank of Risk Factors Affecting Time Delay and Cost Overrun of Building Constructions Projects in Yangon
In Yangon City, Myanmar, most of the building construction projects fail to meet their cost and time constraints, which will lead to low return on investment. The purpose of this paper is to understand risk management of building construction and the study area is Yangon. This study illustrates that how to manage risks in building construction to become a successful project with best possible outcome by reducing risks that delay the project. The study was conducted through a questionnaire survey administered to 39 construction projects and 148 professionals in Yangon for finding risk rating and prioritization of risk. Risk prioritization was done by Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution TOPSIS .

Research on Emergency Capability Assessment

At present, the frequent occurrence of emergencies has threatened the safety of peoples lives and property. The complexity and dynamics of emergencies determine the difficulty for the government as a single entity to deal with in emergency management. The active participation of non governmental organizations, including social organizations, and the realization of the coordination and coupling with government departments are conducive to the improvement of emergency management capability in all aspects and the whole process.
